STAY AWAY FROM FLORIDA! AND MOVE AWAY WHEN YOU GET A CHANCE, Here is why.
Take a good look at the largest nation tax aka "user" fee increase which our Florida elected officers have imposed on it's residents begining September 2009 click HERE. The 2009 State Legislative session forced countless families already suffering to vacate their residences and move away from our state. Their collective idea (bi-partisan) was to implement the largest increase of standard yearly taxable aka "fees" without our knowledge and approval. This illustrious group of legislators insured that we fail to have an opportunity of an economic recovery. Over the last year an exodus of millions of former home owners, licenced drivers and car owners chose to save money by leaving the state of Florida.
We remain near the bottom in the USA in term of a hope for recovery, because of the elected officials who pass laws aimed to punish residents. Florida is doomed unless we remove these unfair and regressive taxes aka "fees" from our books and encourage people to remain here.
The cost of living in the Sunshine State has become prohibitive as is evident by the countless vacant properties seen around our state. Investors beware! crooked unregulated "homeowner associations" will syphon every last bit of your "dues" and quadruple them at will without recourse. Elected states men and women have ignored their continuance and taken the path of least resistance , special interest. Unless the remaining residents WAKE UP! Florida will be bust in no time.
50 % Plus increases across the board burden for such automated charges such as Tag, Title and Registration of vehicles , get licence's & ID's and all told over 73 different fees and surcharges to our struggling Florida residents. Hey lets pay 2-3 times as much for the privilege of living in Florida! while making minimum wage on a right to work state.
Doubling or triple the cost of all our personal yearly fees is not enough for our short sided elected officers. To make matters worst, independent businesses fees have sky rocketed as well. Assuring the few remaining Floridian a higher costs for goods and services all around.
Contact your State elected officials and tell them to protect and serve your best interest if you still live in Florida, if you don't and considered moving here, tell them you can't afford Florida here unless they correct it.

Attempt and contact your elected Tax Collector at 407-836-2709 and ask about the ACCURACY, ACCOUNTABILITY AND AVAILABILITY of his collections. Mr Wood's has turned the office in to a wastefully money pit. Consider that our stay at home Tax Collector has managed to increase the budget from $11,974,979 & 187 employees to a staggering $27,287,000 & 227 in a few short years .why so much? could someone show us the books please!
Call the office and ask him to justify this budget. Then call the local media and ask them to grow a spine and confront this government agency accordingly, Why is this the only office that has never been publicly scrutinized? When did anyone hear or see Mr. Wood's do anything? 44 years of Lifting his name higher and higher!
Technology has allowed all types of organizations, private business and government agencies to improve efficiency and cut back on labor and expenses. Earl K. Wood's "home based office" for Orange County Tax Collection is except and immune because he deals in the shade by staying home, refusing to account and being selective in the enforcement of law.
His 1960's stay at home way of doing business will cost us plenty more in the future unless a drastic change takes place. I urge to to write your State Rep & Senators and consider legislation to reform our current outdated, wasteful and obsolete "Tax Collectors" election posts which duplicates titles and breeds complacency thru our 63 counties in Florida, this antiquated elected government office is a "Figure Head" post which is costing our state taxpayers Trillions and is primed for abuse and excess waste as Mr. Earl K. Wood has made clearly evident.
At 92 years he refuses to work, and I can't blame him after all he officially retired in 1999 and is not required to do a thing! Do not fail your children and put a stop to a government agency who has refused to evolved. Time has come to Reform Government agencies that fail.
Our challenge is to remove EKW from office. Below I provide a logical reason why I believe we must Fire-Wood's from office. remember at the end of every email, text message, letter or voice mail you send from now until Nov 4th , you must type or say the following: Fire-Wood's , Write-In Johnny “Q” Nov 4th http://www.thetaxcollector.org
By voting for non-of the above, and emailing, texting, bloging, posting, speaking to others at the work, home, church, restaurants and anywhere from now until election day Nov 4th we can make history. Use your cell text, email to those on your list, print it and hand it out.

Millions continue to be wasted by Wood's with no end in site. Help me put and end to this abuse let's Fire-Wood's. This is no joking matter, our economy can't handle any more waste. The 1st line of government should be accountable. Contact your neighbor, friends, families and urge them to choose accountability and respect by Writing-In Johnny "Q" for Tax Collector.
